A collection of 13 surprising effects, many can be performed over the phone, easy to do and very amazing, great for all ages. A Martinka favorite, highly recommended.

Jim Steinmeyer’s book is a collection of 13 surprising effects, many suitable as “interactive” effects, through the medium of a page, radio, video or phone. It starts with his famous mathematical “Nine Card Problem” with his variations, and even includes a “3-Card Monte” and a card transposition which takes place completely in the spectator’s hands.

The sub-title says it all: “Strangely Self-Working Conjuring.” This little book will delight you (and maybe even fool you), and arm you with versatile material for audiences. Professional caliber tricks that are easy to do.

We have been performing the nine card problem since we first received this book, you call a friend, ask them to grab a deck of cards and then proceed to amaze them even though you are miles away. 29 pages, 5 1/2 by 8 1/2, soft cover with foil cover.

Jim Steinmeyer is an internationally respected designer of magical illusions and theatrical special effects. He has served as a magic consultant to Siegfried and Roy, David Copperfield and Lance Burton, as well as creating magic effects for Orson Welles, Harry Blackstone, The Pendragons, Simon Drake, Ricky Jay, Jason Bishop, and many others.
